From the future-planning University Exhibition, to the personality-driven Talent Show, and the out-of-classroom business practice at IKEA, we have witnessed every student grow through exploration and make breakthroughs through experimentation. Come and take a look at their brilliant moments!

On September 16, the MIC 2025 University Exhibition was grandly held on campus. The event successfully brought together nearly 30 renowned overseas institutions and official organizations from six popular study destinations—Switzerland, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and France—providing an efficient platform for students and parents to engage in face-to-face dialogues with  admissions officers. It served as a key milestone in planning their future educational pathways.

The exhibition boasted an impressive lineup, covering a diverse range of options from academic research to professional application. It included comprehensive research universities such as The University of Sydney, King’s College London and McMaster University, top-tier art institutions like the Savannah College of Art and Design and the New York Film Academy, as well as industry leaders such as EHL Hospitality Business School, fully meeting the needs of students with different interests and career aspirations.

The event was thoughtfully designed with two major segments: thematic sharing sessions and face-to-face university consultations. The afternoon sharing sessions served as a "study abroad outpost," where experts from Campus France and Australian university representatives provided in-depth insights into application processes and career development opportunities in France and Australia. Meanwhile, representatives from the British Universities Consortium and Canadian experts elaborated on the unique appeal of British education and the employment-oriented program strategies in Ontario, clearing away information barriers and pointing the way forward for students.

Subsequently, during the "Face-to-Face" consultation session, university booths were surrounded by eager students and parents. Admissions officers patiently addressed specific questions about admission criteria, program features, campus life, and career prospects. These one-on-one interactions provided students not only with factual application data but also firsthand institutional experiences and personalized guidance.

More than just an information session, this year’s University Exhibition was an enlightening lesson in career planning and an opportunity to ignite students’ inner motivation. It successfully helped MIC students pinpoint their positions within the global education landscape, broadening their international perspectives and empowering them to make wiser, more confident future choices based on their interests and global trends, firmly stepping onto the world stage.

The MIC 2025 Talent Show recently concluded with great success. After intense preliminary rounds, 13 outstanding performances stood out from 25 entries, presenting teachers and students with an spectacular artistic feast.

The final was full of highlights and featured a diverse array of performances. The event opened elegantly with a piano-accompanied dance to "Rain Falls All Night," while an original song "Farcall" showcased creative talent. A fusion of East and West was exemplified by a ensemble performance of "Dandelion's Promise" on harp, piano, and bamboo flute, and the group dance "Whiplash" brought vibrant energy. The unique Chinese-style rap "Laoshan Taoist" and the powerful performance of the traditional instrumental piece "General’s Command" fully demonstrated the diverse talents of MIC students.

This competition not only provided a stage for students to express themselves but also reflected the fruitful outcomes of the school’s holistic education. Students interpreted youth through art, illuminated the campus with their talents, and displayed the confident demeanor and limitless potential of the new generation.

Recently, students from the UK Department of MIC visited IKEA for a business field study activity. Led by business teachers, the students conducted on-site investigations into IKEA’s store layout, product displays, supply chain model, and brand marketing strategies. By applying business analysis tools learned in class, they completed a detailed research report.

During the activity, students gained deep insights into IKEA’s core business modules, such as flat-packaging supply chains, experiential marketing strategies, localized operations, and digital transformation. Through group discussions and on-site observations, they further understood the success factors of IKEA’s business model.

This practical experience not only enhanced students’ intuitive understanding of business theory but also improved their market analysis and teamwork skills. The UK Department Business and Accounting Group stated that they will continue to promote the "academics + practice" teaching model, guiding students out of the classroom and into front-line enterprise environments to expand their international perspectives and cultivate business talents with practical capabilities.

In the future, the department will organize more corporate visits and research activities to support students’ growth and innovation in real business environments.
