In the June 2025 Cambridge International Examinations, our student Chappy / Gong Ziyin was awarded the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for GCSE Mathematics (Top in the World) and was invited to attend the award ceremony in Shanghai to receive this accolade on stage. This top honor stems from a shared pursuit of academic depth in both teaching and learning.
Chappy's words eloquently captured the essence of learning at MIC:

Academic depth needs to be honed through diverse challenges. Recently, a group of MIC students distinguished themselves in the 2025 UK Senior Mathematical Challenge (SMC) and the 2025 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), achieving a remarkable series of successes.
These top-tier international mathematics assessments test not only knowledge mastery but also creativity in problem-solving, logical rigor, and mental agility. Our students' success benefits from the school's systematic academic enrichment support system—from daily thinking exercises to specialized workshops for high-level competitions. We encourage students to step out of their comfort zones and test themselves on challenging international platforms, expanding their boundaries. This is a vivid practice of our "igniting potential" ideal.
Education is not only about academics but also about practice and application. At the 2025 MIC Business Competition, two of our school's teams demonstrated outstanding business acumen, strategic planning, and teamwork, both winning the Bronze Medal.
Behind the excellent results lies systematic empowerment and support: Before the competition, the school specially organized official training sessions led by foreign teacher Jana. Held regularly every Tuesday, these sessions integrated knowledge from economics, mathematics, and management through simulated business platform practice, real-case studies, and analysis of past strategies. This allowed students to understand market dynamics, financial decision-making, and team management in a practical context. This is a key part of MIC's "shaping leaders" philosophy—cultivating decision-making ability, resilience, and leadership through real-world challenges.
On the track connecting theoretical knowledge to the real world, MIC students have also excelled. In the prestigious 2025 International Economics Olympiad (IEO), a team of 31 MIC students took on the challenge and achieved impressive collective results:
The IEO not only examines students' grasp of economic principles but, more importantly, assesses their ability to use economic thinking to analyze and solve complex real-world problems. This report card is a concentrated showcase of our school's economics teaching achievements and brilliant proof of our students transforming abstract theory into analytical tools.
